The 2016, from a warm and fruit forward year, is no shrinking violet. It has a glorious fruits of the forest nose, with floral and spicy edges and already a hint of mossy undergrowth. The palate is an explosion of red fruits through the berry and cherry spectrum, along with some spicy and slightly toasty oak. The tannins are ample but extremely fine and multi layered. The juicy acidity lends both length and lightness to the palate. This wine will just gain more and more complexity for 10 to 15 years.
